Terms of use

Using Memo Guesser

Memo Guesser lets you create and play photo-location quizzes. It is currently free, with no ads, in-app purchases or push notifications. An internet connection is required. There is no promise of uninterrupted service or recovery of lost anonymous creator access. These terms do not exclude rights that applicable law gives you.

Your photos and public links

You retain ownership of your photos. Only use photos, names and locations you have permission to share, including permission from people shown where needed. Do not publish private, abusive, illegal, exploitative or infringing content. Files must be public as Anyone with the link → Viewer in Google Drive. Anyone receiving a link may access or forward it outside a game. Memo Guesser stores file/resource identifiers and game metadata, not hosted photo copies. You control the original and its sharing in Drive; deleting a round or disconnecting Google does not revoke a public link.

Playing safely

Invite people you trust. Enter a room code and a display name to play, inspect the photo, place your guess on the map and submit it. Hosts control rounds and can stop the room. Leave game exits the player screen; leaving the host screen does not stop the room, so use End game when necessary. Report an issue through Help and support for technical issues or inappropriate content. Reports open email and do not automatically attach room codes, photo links or personal identifiers. Provide only the minimum non-sensitive context needed; reports are reviewed manually, not instantly. Avoid sharing the room again if its content is unsafe.

Google and file compatibility

Google Drive is an independent service governed by its own terms and availability. Optional direct upload uses limited drive.file authorization. Common JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP and AVIF images are supported; HEIC/HEIF, TIFF, BMP, ICO and common camera RAW files may need local conversion to JPEG. Compatibility depends on the device and actual encoding. Ordinary photos are limited to 20 MB; conversion sources to 100 MB, with up to 12 photos in an add batch. Keep originals and review converted images and suggested coordinates.

Removal and contact

You can hide games in Studio, stop a room as host, disconnect Drive in Help and support and manage originals in Google Drive. For data deletion, copyright or safety concerns, contact beyoung.belcrew@gmail.com. Anonymous access may require ownership verification; no email/password Memo Guesser account is created. We may restrict harmful or abusive use. We cannot promise Google file recovery or instant report resolution. Material changes will be reflected on this page. Updated 4 September 2026.

What deletion actually does

Deleting a game in Studio hides it (soft deletion) and stops active rooms, but retains the game, rounds, Drive IDs/resource keys, coordinates, clues, player names, answers and session history. Removing an individual round when no room is active deletes that round record, including its Drive identifiers, coordinates and clue; it does not erase prior answers or session history. Neither operation deletes Drive photos or revokes their public links. For a verified erasure request beyond these controls, contact beyoung.belcrew@gmail.com; we will explain what can be located and erased after checking ownership and any applicable limits.
